A Chronology of Significant Events

1987
In January of 1987, David began his telephone marketing services as David F.
McCullough, Consultant.  For his first project, David was contracted by Enta Software Corporation, Vancouver, British Columbia.  David was hired to establish a SuperVAR network for their product, Journal Master/Payroll.  At the time, SuperVARs were value-added resellers, who also agreed to act as wholesale distributors to other resellers.

Using an ITT XT microcomputer, running on DOS, David tracked the project using WordPerfect’s alphabetical mail merge sort.  This was David‘s first attempt to systematize his telephone marketing through the management of contacts.

On April 1, 1987, Transamerica was officially incorporated, setting up its operations in an office center on Melville Street in Vancouver, British Columbia, which had been created by the Software Association of British Columbia.  Transamerica’s initial thrust was into the world of channel sales and development.  In the early days, Transamerica was not end-user-oriented at all like it is today.
